The band was formed in Milan (Italy) in 2006 by
Luca Difato, a classical musician, orchestral performer and music teacher graduated in viola and violin, very fond of rock
and metal. That passion led him - after experiences with various bands as
Ophidian and
Cultus Sanguine plus some collaborations (
Lacuna Coil, Thou Ask Divinity and Shrivel) - to found a gothic/rock metal band on his own. Excited about the first written material, Luca began to devote himself to his project and decided to play all instruments except drums. So, through his good friend Cristiano Migliore from Lacuna Coil, he got in contact with Node drummer
Marco Di Salvia who soon became Ermetica End session drummer for the debut work.
Towards the beginning of 2007 the recordings began after few weeks of rehearsals. Unfortunately due to work commitments and some unexpected technical issues recording times had been slightly extended; but on 5 November 2008 the self-funded first cd-single of the band was finally released. "Ermetica End" contains three original songs produced by
Vidar at Tsunami Sound Studio (Milan) and mastered by
Stefano Cappelli at Creative Mastering (Forli'). Luca was and is still the singer, guitarist, bassist, composer and the only official member of the band.
Currently he's looking for the other (band) members and writing material for the future full length album.
